Bobby Dodd, 2016 NASSP Digital Principal of the Year
Principal, Gahanna Lincoln High School

Bobby Dodd is the principal at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Ohio. He earned four degrees before determining what he wanted to do with his life—dedicate it to helping people. Dodd’s passion for helping others led him to create new opportunities for students and staff, such as digital academies, college summer camps, fabrication laboratories, and personalized learning environments. As an educator, Dodd actively communicates, collaborates, and connects with stakeholders to help his school and the education field. He has received awards for his contributions as a connected educator, including the 2016 NASSP National Digital Principal of the Year award. He was a finalist for the 2017 Varsity Brand “Principal of Principle” award. Dodd presents at the local, state, and national levels; he is a co-moderator of #ohedchat, co-founder of EdCampLeader Columbus, and hosts a blog on educational leadership and effective instructional methods. Upper school principal, Hanalani Schools

Winston Sakurai is the upper school principal at Hanalani Schools and former vice chairman of the Hawaii State Board of Education. During his tenure at Hanalani, the school has developed an international championship robotics program, a national award-winning student government, and a 100 percent college acceptance rate. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin honored him as “One Who Would Make a Difference in Hawaii’s Future”; recent accolades include being recognized as a 2016 NASSP National Digital Principal and as the 2015 Hawaii Secondary Principal of the Year.
