Army Boot Camp

Because a Soldier’s level of physical fitness has a direct impact on their combat readiness, a Soldier in the U.S. Army must be mentally and physically fit—and this creates the likelihood of having a more enjoyable, productive life! To achieve this level of health, the U.S. Army employs a Performance Triad approach that highlights sleep, activity, and nutrition. By increasing Soldiers’ awareness in these three areas, performance is optimized and resilience improves. Join us as a U.S. Army Recruiting NCO explores the physical fitness element of this triad with simple stretches and exercises to break up your day and get you moving. Weights and equipment are not necessary.

Mindful Desk Yoga

Experience mindful desk yoga and take it to your school. Enjoy 15 minutes of movement and 15 minutes of mediation. Bond with your colleagues over an experience that is active and fun.

Mindfulness Meditation

Set your purpose for the day. Mindfulness meditation is a proven way to increase productivity and creativity. Through meditation, you have a chance to deeply relax and recover, reducing stress and burnout. You also have an opportunity to reflect and discover a deeper sense of self and purpose. This allows you to better engage with your work and relate to the important role you play in your organization.  

Mindfulness Yoga 

You don’t need to be flexible to do yoga. You do yoga to get flexible. This yoga class is customized to work at your desk. Students will learn about healthy alignment, body mechanics, and how to deepen their felt sense to find greater health in the postures.

Robyn Povich is an advanced level mindfulness yoga and meditation teacher and mindfulness coach. She is a passionate advocate for mindfulness and yoga as an effective means of improving health and well-being. Povich’s compassionate teaching style encourages and honors the discovery of each person’s uniqueness as she guides students into experiences of self-awareness, acceptance, and ultimate healing. In addition to her public classes, she works with companies that value a healthy lifestyle for their employees. 

Yoga Basics

Yoga Basics is a 30-minute class that will have you moving through your day with mindfulness and intention. This is a space to explore poses while creating stability in your mind, body, and spirit. The session is a perfect way to start your day or reset.

Kim Slader is an advanced-level yoga and meditation teacher. With a compassionate teaching style and passion for holistic health, she loves creating a safe space for people to learn about yoga and mindfulness.
